To date, 天美传媒 has held in-person meetings with Faculty & Staff听(2/11)听and students听(2/12), with upcoming Zoom calls scheduled for parents (2/17听@听6pm) and students (2/18听@听1:30).听
We continue to advance conversations with the University of Toledo as our primary teach-out partner,听and while we听remain听incredibly grateful for their support,听we know that they cannot meet the needs of every one of our students. More than 40听universities and听community听colleges have already reached out with interest in helping our students transfer as well. We are compiling that list and will be adding direct links, as soon as听we get them, to our website for students to explore transfer pathways and teach-out opportunities.听听
There seemed to be some confusion at the student town hall about the difference between a teach-out and a transfer pathway.听There鈥檚听a chart online at lourdes.edu/closure.听Ultimately, it鈥檚 up to the student to decide what is best for them, but a teach-out is a contractual agreement with another听university听with听the same major to听offer guaranteed acceptance to Lourdes students in good standing,听accept 100% of your classes, match your current out of pocket costs, and ensure that you can graduate in the same timeframe you expected to at Lourdes. Conversely, a transfer pathway听offers preferential acceptance in听a听streamlined admissions听process. The听transfer pathway university听is not required to听accept听all of听your classes or match your current financial aid package, but that can happen. In either scenario,听Lourdes听students do not have to transfer to a听university that is on our teach-out or transfer pathway list. This decision is听yours听and we are here to support you through听whatever decision you make.听
